Got a pile of clothes in need of mending? Mending is one of the best ways to make your wardrobe more sustainable and make your favorite clothes last longer, but many of us need a little encouragement to get going on mending projects. Enter Mending Club! Come work on your mending projects in a fun, relaxing, and social environment, share knowledge and techniques, and get to know other creative people, all while fixing your clothes and fighting fast fashion!
Please bring your mending projects and any necessary materials. We have basic (white and black) polyester thread, hand-sewing needles, and assorted fabric scraps for you to use if needed.
Mending Club meets every fourth Wednesday from 5:30pm to 8pm.
Our community craft nights are themed open studio time, for folks to gather, work on projects, and build connections with other creative people in our community! Please note that there will not be any formal instruction at this event, although all skill levels are welcome and participants are encouraged to share knowledge with one another. These nights also differ from our open studio nights, as they are built around a theme or focus.
This event is by donation and no one will be turned away for lack of funds.
Our classroom is up one flight of stairs and is not currently wheelchair accessible. We are working on a solution to make our space accessible to everyone. Thanks for your understanding and patience while we work this out. You may e-mail us at classes@boltfabricboutique.com if you have any questions about this process. You can see our studio here.
For 18 years and up.
